Glen Ewen Springs farm raised venison has a very mild gentle flavor and fine texture and is best served rare and piping hot. In contrast wild venison often exhibits a wild or gamy taste. Age of animal and intensity of slaughter will also affect meat quality and taste. At Glen Ewen Springs our animals are harvested prior to 3 years of age and processing is carried out in a custom designed system to minimize stress. Our
animals
are raised naturally on seasonal pasture, alfalfa forage, natural grains
and minerals and with-out hormones, steroids,
pesticides, herbicides, or growth enhancers. Our Venison products are also
antibiotic free. Venison is
denser than beef
and has less fat so you fill on a smaller portion also it cooks in about
2/3 the time
of
beef. A healthful red
meat for health conscious consumers.
European Red Deer and Canadian Elk are closely related with meat
flavor and texture almost identical.
Our Venison is processed in a
Provincial government inspected plant
to ensure quality control and that your dinning pleasure is not
compromised. Our venison products are properly aged and cured
before cutting and vacuum packaging. We offer a wide variety of quality
premium venison cuts and
products, using no fillers, being
drug free and naturally raised. A Culinary Delight!
We offer Farm Gate Sales for all our Venison Products and for the Venison
Lover carcass priced by the side or ¼ cut to your specs. cut &
wrapped. We always have a good supply of meat cuts available at the farm
and welcome custom orders.
